Dr. Mahmoud Al-Odeh currently serves as the Dean of the School of Business and Technology at Fitchburg State University, contributing over 15 years of extensive experience in both academia and industry. Prior to his tenure at Fitchburg State, Dr. Al-Odeh held prominent leadership roles at Eastern Illinois University and Bemidji State University, where he established a commendable reputation for fostering productive collaborations between educational institutions and industry partners. He is nationally recognized for his significant contributions to applied education, having been awarded the “Strengthening Bonds to Industry” honor from the Association of Technology, Management & Applied Engineering, and named one of the “Professors to Know” in Engineering Management Programs. In addition, Dr. Al-Odeh is a published author whose research primarily encompasses technology management, process improvement, and workforce development. His scholarly work has enriched industry-informed teaching practices and facilitated practical applications in the classroom. Throughout his career, Dr. Al-Odeh has led various initiatives focusing on accreditation, curriculum development, and the organization of international conferences. He has successfully mentored over 100 students toward achieving national certifications in Lean Six Sigma and technology management. His leadership approach is characterized by a deep commitment to industry engagement, academic innovation, and the academic success of students. At Fitchburg State, Dr. Al-Odeh is dedicated to enhancing partnerships with employers, expanding experiential learning opportunities, and furthering the School’s mission to prepare students for the evolving workforce landscape.
